MAREK MOŚ
The conductor and artistic director of AUKSO Chamber Orchestra of the City of Tychy since its establishment. Artistic director of the “AUKSO Summer Philharmonic” festival in Wigry. An outstanding Polish violinist and chamber musician. The founder and a long-time first violinist of the Silesian Quartet. A laureate of numerous awards. Currently, apart from his great concert and recording activity he manages to hold classes and lectures at Karol Szymanowski Music Academy in Katowice.

AUKSO/The Chamber Orchestra of the City of Tychy
February 1998 marked the beginning of one of the most interesting European chamber music ensembles. A group of The Academy of Music in Katowice graduates together with Marek Moś, an eminent violinist, conductor and chamber musician, founded the orchestra. Young musicians surpass the frames of classical repertoire and successfully reach for contemporary music pieces not abstaining from connecting classical music with jazz or rock.
AUKSO gives concerts both in Poland and abroad. Since 2000 the orchestra has hosted an annual “AUKSO Summer Philharmonic” festival in Wigry on Podlasie (Podlachia).
AUKSO is one of the best Polish orchestras and it marks its presence distinctly in the cultural life of Europe.
